Ka ‘Ohi Nani o Mana’olana offers people of all descents the opportunity to develop poise and confidence in the medium of dance. Students learn confidence, self-expression, to dance in unity with others, stage presence, proper execution of their dance, and language.
We encourage the strengthening of the Hawaiian Culture through hula. We offer classes for keiki, wahine and kupuna, from beginners to advanced skill levels.
Beginner class emphasis is on hula auana and hula kahiko basics as well as Tahitian basics. The beginning children’s classes also include basic Tahitian instruction. Invitational Tahitian covers more advanced material and concepts.
Monthly class fees are $30 month for individuals, $50 month for families (families must reside in the same household to qualify for family rates). Checks are payable to “Ka `Ohi Nani o Mana`olana”. Dues are due on the 1st of each month. Returned checks are subject to $30 or more depending on bank charges.
Wahine students should wear their halau pa’u skirt and comfortable t-shirt to hula classes. Pareos should be worn for Tahitian classes.
